I know all my math folks got the title! Of course March 14 is Pi Day and like the Times Square ball drop at midnight on New Years Day, Pi Day is ushered in at 1:59 (pi = 3.14159…).

I am dedicating this post to @blairteach (I recommend that everyone in the field of education follow her on Twitter). Although she is an ELA/Technology person, she decided to inundate me with Pi Day resources last week, thus inspiring this post!

The Pi Song (to the tune of “American Pie”)

A LiveBinder of Pi Day Resources

A lengthy list of Pi Day activities (also has a countdown to Pi Day)

A YouTube video of Pi Day Jokes (really bad Pi Day jokes)

Pi Day fun facts and celebration ideas

The Pi Day challenge

A Pi Day birthday

Can you find your birthday in the digits of pi?

I hope you and your students have fun celebrating mathematics on Pi Day!
